Disability Services: Finding the Right Fit

Feb 01, 2018

Selecting Your Caregiver

Going through the process of finding an appropriate disability services agency to become a support and caregiver for your child is not easy. It's hard to imagine how anyone would be able to provide the attention, compassion, and understanding that your child deserves. But sometimes, a helping hand is needed. It isn't a decision that can be taken lightly and it isn't a process that happens overnight.

Becoming a Part of the Family

It all starts with a call (no commitment required). From there we will book in a 1-2 hour introductory meeting with our Program Director and a Behavioural Specialist, where they will have the chance to sit down with you (and any other stakeholders - like your case worker or government liaison) and get to know more about your child, their needs, and what kind of support you are looking for.

We know this process can be overwhelming, so we do everything we can to provide you the information you will need to assist in your decision.

We take great care in ensuring our clients will thrive with a thorough Transition Plan and a comprehensive Behavioural Plan.

Accessing Our Services

We work with youths and adults with a wide range of developmental disabilities; and we never refuse clients based on the severity or complexity of their disability. Individuals who qualify for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) or Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) services, are eligible for both our Residential Care group home program and Framework for Life program.
